I am an Irish artist from County Kerry, and my work is deeply rooted in the Atlantic coastline, local folklore, memory, and emotional landscape. Working mainly through atmospheric seascapes and semi-abstract coastal imagery, I explore the meeting place between land, sea, weather, and inner experience. My paintings are shaped by the wild light of Kerry Head, Ballyheigue, and the surrounding coastline, where changing skies, rough seas, wind, rain, and myth all become part of my visual language. I am drawn to threshold moments in nature: the place where a wave breaks, where the sky darkens before clearing, where history and legend seem to rise through the landscape. Alongside my painting practice, I am developing illustrated storytelling projects inspired by Irish place, legend, and inherited memory. My work often carries a strong narrative quality, suggesting hidden histories, spiritual undercurrents, and the emotional lives of those connected to the land and sea. Balancing creativity with family, caregiving, and community life, my art is both personal and place-based. It speaks of endurance, longing, beauty, faith, and the quiet power of returning again and again to what calls me.
